White Leafy Tassel Diamond Necklace Set White Gold Emerald

The tassel is strung strand by strand and weighted at the tip to hang straight. Necklace and earrings were drawn as one, so the ear repeats the neckline without copying it.

1,948 diamonds in one piece, each selected rather than ordered to a specification. The emeralds are graded against the diamonds for tone first. Stones that read correctly on their own can still fight when they sit together.

That is 1,948 individual settings. A single hand carries the whole run, because two setters will always close a grain slightly differently and at this density the eye catches it.

Foliage runs through the piece as a continuous line, which asks every join between sections to disappear. The design was resolved before the first stone was ordered, so the settings follow the drawing rather than the drawing accommodating the stones.
