The elements fall in graduated sizes, largest at the top, and the eye travels with them. The drop is jointed below the top, so it answers the movement of the head a beat late.

110 diamonds in one piece, each selected rather than ordered to a specification. 18 emeralds carry the colour, and the two are matched to one another before anything is set, which takes far longer than matching for size alone.

Drawn, made and finished in one workshop, which is the only way tolerances this fine hold from the first sketch to the final polish.

Nothing here is applied after the fact. The structure and the ornament were drawn at the same time, which is why the piece has no unresolved back.
