Tulip Briolette Tassel Diamond Necklace White Gold Citrine

The tassel is strung strand by strand and weighted at the tip to keep it hanging straight. Built in jointed sections so the line curves with the neck instead of standing away from it. The surface is close-set: 217 diamonds with almost no metal showing between them.

That is 231 settings, cut and closed one at a time. The diamonds and citrines are matched for tone before anything is set, which takes longer than matching for size. 18KT gold holds the settings rigid where 22KT would move.
