One composition across two pieces, which is a harder thing to balance than a single object.

924 diamonds, sorted and matched before a single one was set. The pearls are graded against the diamonds for tone first. Stones that read correctly on their own can still fight when they sit together.

That is 994 individual settings. A single hand carries the whole run, because two setters will always close a grain slightly differently and at this density the eye catches it.

Nothing here is applied after the fact. The structure and the ornament were drawn at the same time, which is why the piece has no unresolved back.
