The flower heads are built separately and set at their own heights, so the surface is never flat. Top and drop are hinged separately. That joint is what gives the movement its second beat. Only 2 rubies, so each one has to sit exactly where the design puts it.

Drawn, made and finished in our own workshop, which is how the tolerances stay tight enough that the joins do not show. 22KT gold is soft to work and unforgiving to finish.
