The blooms repeat across the piece at a steady interval, each one shaped before it is set. The drop is articulated below the lobe, jointed so it moves independently of the top rather than swinging as one piece. The diamonds run along the form, 152 of them, spaced so the metal still shows.

Jadau setting means the gold is warmed and pressed around each uncut stone rather than gripped by claws. Every stone has to go in before the piece cools past working temperature. 22KT gold is soft to work and unforgiving to finish.
