Every edge is rounded off by hand, which is what stops the piece catching on fabric. Top and drop are hinged separately. That joint is what gives the movement its second beat. 96 pearls follow the line of the piece rather than filling it.
Drawn, made and finished in our own workshop, which is how the tolerances stay tight enough that the joins do not show. 22KT gold is soft to work and unforgiving to finish.
