The drop is articulated below the lobe, jointed so it moves independently of the top rather than swinging as one piece. The surface is close-set: 228 diamonds with almost no metal showing between them. 5.08 grams in total, which leaves almost no metal to hold the settings.

Jadau setting means the gold is warmed and pressed around each uncut stone rather than gripped by claws. Every stone has to go in before the piece cools past working temperature. Two stones in one piece means sorting both for colour first, so the emeralds do not fight the diamonds.
