A peacock carries the piece. The tail opens across the width and the eye of each feather is set individually. A jhumka lives or dies on the bell. This one is raised from sheet rather than cast, which keeps the wall thin and the swing loose.

Nakashi work pushes the figures out from behind. The sheet stretches as it rises, so the thickness has to be watched the whole way. 22KT gold is soft to work and unforgiving to finish.
