The flower heads are built separately and set at their own heights, so the surface is never flat. Choker and earrings are drawn as one. The motif that runs across the neckline repeats at a smaller scale on the ear. The surface is close-set: 214 rubies with almost no metal showing between them.

Jadau setting means the gold is warmed and pressed around each uncut stone rather than gripped by claws. Every stone has to go in before the piece cools past working temperature. 18KT gold holds the settings rigid where 22KT would move.
