The mesh is woven from drawn wire, which means it drapes instead of holding a fixed curve. The drop is articulated below the lobe, jointed so it moves independently of the top rather than swinging as one piece.

The stones are set the jadau way: gold softened over heat and worked up around each one, with no claw and no solder showing. The order matters, because once a stone is bedded the metal beside it cannot be reheated. The lattice is pierced from sheet gold with a saw blade finer than a hair, cut line by line. A slip cannot be filled, only started again. 18KT gold holds the settings rigid where 22KT would move.
