Mahtab Pearl Polki Chandbali

A chandbali is a crescent hung from a stud. The arc is wide enough to catch light along its full length and hinged so it moves. The surface is close-set: 304 pearls with almost no metal showing between them.

Jadau setting means the gold is warmed and pressed around each uncut stone rather than gripped by claws. Every stone has to go in before the piece cools past working temperature. 18KT gold holds the settings rigid where 22KT would move.
