The petals are domed and set with a little lift, so they curl the way a real one does. Leaves are set along a continuous stem at alternating angles, so the line reads as growth rather than pattern.

The stones are set the jadau way: gold softened over heat and worked up around each one, with no claw and no solder showing. The order matters, because once a stone is bedded the metal beside it cannot be reheated. 18KT gold holds the settings rigid where 22KT would move.
