The peacock is worked in profile with the tail fanned, and each feather is drawn separately into the metal. Built in jointed sections so the line curves with the neck instead of standing away from it. The surface is close-set: 1256 diamonds with almost no metal showing between them.
The stones are set the jadau way: gold softened over heat and worked up around each one, with no claw and no solder showing. The order matters, because once a stone is bedded the metal beside it cannot be reheated. The diamonds and pearls are matched for tone before anything is set, which takes longer than matching for size. 18KT gold holds the settings rigid where 22KT would move.
18KT Yellow Gold. 123.14g. Diamonds: 1256 pcs. Pearls: 119 pcs, 87.69 cts. Polki diamonds. Made to order.
