Inverted Dew Drop Polki Pendant Yellow Gold Diamond

A single drop on a bail, weighted low so it hangs straight against the chain. The surface is close-set: 407 diamonds with almost no metal showing between them. 3.6 grams in total, which leaves almost no metal to hold the settings.

The stones are set the jadau way: gold softened over heat and worked up around each one, with no claw and no solder showing. The order matters, because once a stone is bedded the metal beside it cannot be reheated. 18KT gold holds the settings rigid where 22KT would move.
