613 diamonds, sorted and matched before a single one was set. The emeralds are graded against the diamonds for tone first. Stones that read correctly on their own can still fight when they sit together. A third stone enters at the margins, held back so it accents rather than competes.

630 settings, each cut and closed by hand. Work at that count is measured in weeks at the bench rather than days, and it is given to one setter so the tension stays even across the piece.

Flowers carry it, each head built separately and set at its own height so the surface is never flat. Nothing here is applied after the fact. The structure and the ornament were drawn at the same time, which is why the piece has no unresolved back.
