Floral Fountain Polki Nose Pin Yellow Gold Pearl

The blooms repeat across the piece at a steady interval, each one shaped before it is set. Small enough that the whole design has to resolve within a few millimetres, set on a fine post. The pearls run along the form, 55 of them, spaced so the metal still shows.

The stones are set the jadau way: gold softened over heat and worked up around each one, with no claw and no solder showing. The order matters, because once a stone is bedded the metal beside it cannot be reheated. 22KT gold is soft to work and unforgiving to finish.
