The set holds together because the earring takes one element of the necklace rather than shrinking the whole thing. The emeralds run along the form, 46 of them, spaced so the metal still shows. At 171.5 grams the metal has to be built hollow in places or the piece would be unwearable.

Drawn, made and finished in our own workshop, which is how the tolerances stay tight enough that the joins do not show. 22KT gold is soft to work and unforgiving to finish.
