62 emeralds, 31.08 carats between them, every one chosen for its place in the piece. The diamonds are graded against the emeralds for tone first. Stones that read correctly on their own can still fight when they sit together. The diamonds are white throughout, which sets the boundary the colour is read against.

Drawn, made and finished in one workshop, which is the only way tolerances this fine hold from the first sketch to the final polish.

The design was resolved before the first stone was ordered, so the settings follow the drawing rather than the drawing accommodating the stones.
