877 diamonds run to 41.24 carats. None of them were bought to a size; each was selected for where it would sit.

That is 877 individual settings. A single hand carries the whole run, because two setters will always close a grain slightly differently and at this density the eye catches it.

The composition is floral, and the blooms are opened to different degrees so the repeat never reads mechanical. Nothing here is applied after the fact. The structure and the ornament were drawn at the same time, which is why the piece has no unresolved back.
