The celestial forms are small and scattered at uneven intervals, which is harder to balance than a regular repeat. Built in jointed sections so the line curves with the neck instead of standing away from it. The surface is close-set: 656 pearls with almost no metal showing between them.

The stones are set the jadau way: gold softened over heat and worked up around each one, with no claw and no solder showing. The order matters, because once a stone is bedded the metal beside it cannot be reheated. 22KT gold is soft to work and unforgiving to finish.
