622 diamonds run to 12.8 carats. None of them were bought to a size; each was selected for where it would sit.

That is 622 individual settings. A single hand carries the whole run, because two setters will always close a grain slightly differently and at this density the eye catches it.

Flowers carry it, each head built separately and set at its own height so the surface is never flat. The design was resolved before the first stone was ordered, so the settings follow the drawing rather than the drawing accommodating the stones.
