Bird Ornate Pearl Gold Earrings

The form is shaped from life rather than stylised, so the proportions have to hold at this scale. The drop is articulated below the lobe, jointed so it moves independently of the top rather than swinging as one piece. The pearls run along the form, 116 of them, spaced so the metal still shows.

Drawn, made and finished in our own workshop, which is how the tolerances stay tight enough that the joins do not show. 22KT gold is soft to work and unforgiving to finish.
