Beady Eyed Layered Polki Diamond Necklace

The layers sit at different heights and are set from the back forward, one plane at a time. Built in jointed sections so the line curves with the neck instead of standing away from it. 364 diamonds cover the face, set tight enough that the ground reads as stone rather than metal.

The stones are set the jadau way: gold softened over heat and worked up around each one, with no claw and no solder showing. The order matters, because once a stone is bedded the metal beside it cannot be reheated. 22KT gold is soft to work and unforgiving to finish.
