924 diamonds run to 11.47 carats. None of them were bought to a size; each was selected for where it would sit. The emeralds are graded against the diamonds for tone first. Stones that read correctly on their own can still fight when they sit together.
937 settings, each cut and closed by hand. Work at that count is measured in weeks at the bench rather than days, and it is given to one setter so the tension stays even across the piece.
Nothing here is applied after the fact. The structure and the ornament were drawn at the same time, which is why the piece has no unresolved back.
