1,379 diamonds run to 74.22 carats. None of them were bought to a size; each was selected for where it would sit.

That is 1,379 individual settings. A single hand carries the whole run, because two setters will always close a grain slightly differently and at this density the eye catches it. At 118.42 grams the piece has to be built hollow where it will not be seen, or it could not be worn for long.

Flowers carry it, each head built separately and set at its own height so the surface is never flat. Nothing here is applied after the fact. The structure and the ornament were drawn at the same time, which is why the piece has no unresolved back.
