Temple Laxmi Haar Yellow Gold

The figure is raised from the reverse in the temple manner, features worked in last with a fine punch. It falls in tiers below the collarbone, each row set slightly longer than the one above so nothing sits flat against the next. At 180.07 grams the metal has to be built hollow in places or the piece would be unwearable.

The relief is raised from the reverse with hammer and punch, working the metal up rather than cutting it away. 22KT gold is soft to work and unforgiving to finish.
