Ruby Diamond Round Tassel Necklace Rose Gold

The tassel is strung strand by strand and weighted at the tip to hang straight. It hangs as a single line and comes to its point at the front.

468 diamonds, sorted and matched before a single one was set. The rubies are graded against the diamonds for tone first. Stones that read correctly on their own can still fight when they sit together.

496 stones, seated one at a time. The spacing is what takes the hours, not the setting itself.

The composition is floral, and the blooms are opened to different degrees so the repeat never reads mechanical. The design was resolved before the first stone was ordered, so the settings follow the drawing rather than the drawing accommodating the stones.
