Mesh Polki Choker Yellow Gold

The mesh is woven from drawn wire, which means it drapes instead of holding a fixed curve. The links are graduated, widest at the centre and narrowing toward the clasp, which is what keeps a choker sitting level.

Jadau setting means the gold is warmed and pressed around each uncut stone rather than gripped by claws. Every stone has to go in before the piece cools past working temperature. The lattice is pierced from sheet gold with a saw blade finer than a hair, cut line by line. A slip cannot be filled, only started again. 22KT gold is soft to work and unforgiving to finish.
