Latifa Floral Polki Chandbali Yellow Gold Pearl

The flower heads are built separately and set at their own heights, so the surface is never flat. A chandbali is a crescent hung from a stud. The arc is wide enough to catch light along its full length and hinged so it moves. The surface is close-set: 578 pearls with almost no metal showing between them.

The stones are set the jadau way: gold softened over heat and worked up around each one, with no claw and no solder showing. The order matters, because once a stone is bedded the metal beside it cannot be reheated. 18KT gold holds the settings rigid where 22KT would move.
