Kumud Polki Bangle Set

The blooms repeat across the piece at a steady interval, each one shaped before it is set. The section holds its thickness the whole way round, which is harder than tapering it and is what makes a bangle sit right. The surface is close-set: 256 diamonds with almost no metal showing between them.

The stones are set the jadau way: gold softened over heat and worked up around each one, with no claw and no solder showing. The order matters, because once a stone is bedded the metal beside it cannot be reheated. 18KT gold holds the settings rigid where 22KT would move.
