Kumud Polki Bangle

The flower heads are built separately and set at their own heights, so the surface is never flat. The section holds its thickness the whole way round, which is harder than tapering it and is what makes a bangle sit right. The diamonds run along the form, 128 of them, spaced so the metal still shows.

The stones are set the jadau way: gold softened over heat and worked up around each one, with no claw and no solder showing. The order matters, because once a stone is bedded the metal beside it cannot be reheated. 18KT gold holds the settings rigid where 22KT would move.
