134 diamonds run to 5.81 carats. None of them were bought to a size; each was selected for where it would sit.

Drawn, made and finished in one workshop, which is the only way tolerances this fine hold from the first sketch to the final polish.

Star and crescent forms sit at varying depths, so the surface reads as sky rather than as pattern. Nothing here is applied after the fact. The structure and the ornament were drawn at the same time, which is why the piece has no unresolved back.
