The stones are set the jadau way: gold softened over heat and worked up around each one, with no claw and no solder showing. The order matters, because once a stone is bedded the metal beside it cannot be reheated. The filigree is drawn wire, twisted and soldered into place. The wire is fine enough that a moment too long under the torch takes the whole section. 22KT gold is soft to work and unforgiving to finish.
