The flower heads are built separately and set at their own heights, so the surface is never flat. The section holds its thickness the whole way round, which is harder than tapering it and is what makes a bangle sit right.

Jadau setting means the gold is warmed and pressed around each uncut stone rather than gripped by claws. Every stone has to go in before the piece cools past working temperature. 22KT gold is soft to work and unforgiving to finish.
