The drop is articulated below the lobe, jointed so it moves independently of the top rather than swinging as one piece. Only 24 diamonds, so each one has to sit exactly where the design puts it.

The stones are set the jadau way: gold softened over heat and worked up around each one, with no claw and no solder showing. The order matters, because once a stone is bedded the metal beside it cannot be reheated. Two stones in one piece means sorting both for colour first, so the pearls do not fight the diamonds. 18KT gold holds the settings rigid where 22KT would move.
