The petals are domed and set with a little lift, so they curl the way a real one does. The vine runs unbroken through the piece, which means every join between sections has to disappear. The surface is close-set: 514 diamonds with almost no metal showing between them.

517 stones, every one seated and tightened by hand. Two stones in one piece means sorting both for colour first, so the emeralds do not fight the diamonds. 18KT gold holds the settings rigid where 22KT would move.
