Astral Emerald Ruby Diamond Jhumka

The bell is the design. It is raised from flat sheet in two halves, seamed at the waist, and hung so it swings clear of the lobe. The surface is close-set: 286 diamonds with almost no metal showing between them.

That is 324 settings, cut and closed one at a time. Two stones in one piece means sorting both for colour first, so the emeralds do not fight the diamonds. 18KT gold holds the settings rigid where 22KT would move.
