The drop is articulated below the lobe, jointed so it moves independently of the top rather than swinging as one piece. Only 20 diamonds, so each one has to sit exactly where the design puts it.

Two stones in one piece means sorting both for colour first, so the pearls do not fight the diamonds. 18KT gold holds the settings rigid where 22KT would move.
