Ambi Polki Necklace Set

Mango forms repeat along the piece, each one turned slightly so the row has movement in it. Necklace and earrings share one motif, worked at two scales so they read as a pair without repeating exactly. At 298.25 grams the metal has to be built hollow in places or the piece would be unwearable.

The stones are set the jadau way: gold softened over heat and worked up around each one, with no claw and no solder showing. The order matters, because once a stone is bedded the metal beside it cannot be reheated. 18KT gold holds the settings rigid where 22KT would move.
