Alluring Pearl Diamond Necklace Set
One composition across two pieces, which is a harder thing to balance than a single object.
446 diamonds run to 9.73 carats. None of them were bought to a size; each was selected for where it would sit. The pearls are graded against the diamonds for tone first. Stones that read correctly on their own can still fight when they sit together.
That is 567 individual settings. A single hand carries the whole run, because two setters will always close a grain slightly differently and at this density the eye catches it.
The design was resolved before the first stone was ordered, so the settings follow the drawing rather than the drawing accommodating the stones.
